Message Last year, yes the influx of the JDMs were bringing down CDN spec prices.

Now, if you look, the price of good condition CDN spec TTs are about where they should be - $20k to $25k. And people are careful to advertise their cars as CDN spec and LHD. I just took a quick look on Canadatrader.com and yup, the CDN spec prices are back up. Of course, there are the exceptions where some CDN spec TT's are going for cheaper. But usually, those vehicles have their issues or the owners are scared because of the prices they see on the JDMs

I think people are realizing that it's better to buy a local car in better condition as most of the JDMs that come in are in really rough shape and need lots of TLC and $$$ to bring it back into good condition. I mean, by the time you are done bringing the JDM back into shape of a good condition CDN car, I don't think you have saved much, if anything at all.
